Product Description
KOMPSAT-2 satellite was developed by KARI (Korea Aerospace Research Institute) and launched in July 2006 to continue the observation program of the KOMPSAT-1 mission. With 1-meter resolution for panchromatic data and 4-meter resolution for multispectral data (R, G, B, and NIR), all data is orthorectified (L1G) and ready to go. With KOMPSAT-2, you can map large areas cost-efficiently; it offers a perfect solution for resource monitoring, precision farming, natural disaster surveillance, forest management, ocean & water monitoring, and land cover mapping. KOMPSAT-2 has a revisit rate of 14 days over the same area.
KOMPSAT-2 imagery comes in many customizations. Select between two delivery packages: the pansharpened data set, or the bundle consisting of the panchromatic (PAN) and the 4 multispectral (MS) channels. Custom product configurations are also possible: choose between different data acquisition modes, repetitive acquisitions for monitoring purposes, or multi-user licenses for larger enterprises. Kompsat-2 offers access to historical satellite images and archived satellite imagery repository gathered by a high-performance remote sensing satellite providing 1-meter panchromatic (PAN) and 4-meter multispectral (MS) image data for various applications.
